Development of Novel Methods for Gut Microbiome Modification

- Description: Currently available microbiome modification methods are invasive and not personalized; furthermore; their long-term safety is absolutely unknown. Under the frame of this project we aim to carry out R&D activities in the development and testing of novel gut microbiome modification methods at the Center of Excellence at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences. Development of non-invasive molecular based techniques for personalized microbiome modification will increase scientific excellence of researchers, their international competitiveness and create new methods for gut microbiome modification barring a high potential commercial value.
