The Role of Gastric Microbiome in Molecular Subtypes and Precision Therapy Targets of Gastric Cancer

  • Funding source: Research Council of Lithuania
  • Grant agreement number: S-MIP-24-124
  • Date: February 2023 – December 2027
  • Description: This project aims to comprehensively explore the relationships between the gastric microbiota, molecular markers for precision therapy of gastric cancer, and gastric cancer molecular subtypes. Employing a multidimensional approach, we aim to elucidate how changes in the gastric microbiome profile are linked to molecular markers and molecular subtypes of cancer. Additionally, the project seeks to evaluate the predictive potential of gastric microbiome and molecular biomarkers for disease recurrence and the survival of gastric cancer patients. This comprehensive understanding holds the potential to advance personalized therapeutic interventions in gastric cancer.
